MY CAR WAS HELD HOSTAGE AT CRAIG'S AUTO FOR THE NEXT 5 MONTHS LEAVING ME WITH NO TRANSPORTATION TO MY $9.00/HR JOB. I COULD NOT LOSE MY JOB SO I WAS FORCED TO TAKE UBER CAR SERVICE BACK AND FORTH TO WORK FOR THOSE 5 MONTHS THAT PUT ME IN A DEVASTATING FINANCIAL SITUATION.
THE 2.8 RATING FOR CRAIG'S CUSTOMER SATISFACTION RATE TELLS IT ALL!!! THE NIGHTMARE FOR ME IS OVER!
BECAUSE I WAS ONLY PREPARED TO PAY THE ORIGINALLY AGREED UPON FEE OF $400.00 , THE ADDITIONAL UNAUTHORIZED REPAIRS WERE IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO PAY.
I NEEDED THE CAR SO DESPERATELY FOR WORK PURPOSES THAT I HAD EVEN AGREED TO PAY THE $950.00 DUE TO THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF BAD BUSINESS ON CRAIGS PART. I ASKED CRAIG IF I COULD PAY HIM THE ORIGINAL $400.00 BUT CRAIG OF COURSE REFUSED AND I WAS TOLD BY CRAIG, QUOTE "I DO NOT ACCEPT PAYMENTS AND YOUR CAR WILL SIT HERE UNTIL IT IS PAID FOR!" UNQUOTE.
My truck broke down on the road Friday the 24th of August. My roadside assistance contacted Craig's auto, the tow truck operator was a good guy and he talked me into having it towed into the shop. Well, somehow my fuel tank loaded with water. At this time my monetary situation is really awful to where I'm just scraping by with nothing extra. After I talked with Craig the owner he assured me that he would take a look at it and work with me on my monetary situation. Well, he was a man of his word, and you need more mechanics that are men/women of their word and trustworthy. Any problems going forward that I have with my vehicles that I cannot fix myself, I will be sending them to Craig's. Seeing the bad reviews turned me off a little bit, but the more I spoke with the man the more knowledgeable and comfortable he made me feel. If you need something done and you are in the pemberton, Columbus, Vincentown area Craig's auto is the place to go where you won't get jerked around by some mechanic that's trying to rip you off. The bad reviews are probably from people who are nasty themselves and to get respect you have to show some. Bottom line Craig is a good guy.
Had an accident and my car was towed here. They kept me in the loop until my insurance picked it up. They gave me great information about body shops to have it fixed. Staff was friendly.
WELL CRAIG DID NOT GET TO KEEP THE CAR FOR PARTS, DUE TO ABANDONMENT, WHICH I BELIEVE WAS HIS ORIGINAL INTENTION, INSTEAD I GOT A BACK FOR $950.00 A 1996 MERCURY SABLE WITH >200,000 MILES AND!!!!!!! NO AIR CONDITIONING !!!!!! WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND DOES THAT!!!!!
Rude people and overpriced bad service. Had car towed from ten minutes away and it was almost two hundred. Don't do business here they only cater to faithful local customers. Outsiders are treated like crap. Nasty little place
Craig's Auto has the most unprofessional tow truck driver I have ever seen. I gave specific instructions to my insurance company that I would be driving from my home to where my other disabled vehicle was in order to have it towed. When the driver called me I told him I was enroute. He immediately got combative and told me he wasn't waiting he was going to get something to eat. I told him that was fine. I told him the insurance company told me the tow truck would arrive in an hour which gave me enough time to meet the driver from my home. It's not my problem he arrived 5 minutes after I got off the phone with my insurance company. When I arrived to meet the tow truck driver he yelled in my face about me costing him $200 because he had to wait 20 minutes. I believed he would have taken a swing at me had I said anything back to him. On the phone he told me he would use the 20 minutes he had to wait to eat but in person he yelled at me about costing him money. I told my insurance company to never use their service again for any of their insurance customers, and I am telling anyone that is reading this review to use another tow truck company. Worst service ever.
PAID $ 950.00 FOR A 1996 SABLE WITH OVER 200,000 MILES ON IT FOR AN AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR BYPASS...TOLD BY CRAIG, THE OWNER, ORIGINALLY WAS A $400.00 REPAIR BUT WHEN I WAS TOLD THE REPAIR WAS DONE AND MY CAR WAS READY FOR PICK UP 7 DAYS LATER THE BILL HAD BEEN INFLATED TO A WHOPPING FEE OF $950.00. THE LIST OF UNNECESSARY AND ""BS"" REPAIRS THAT WERE CLAIMED TO HAVE BEEN PERFORMED ON THE CAR WERE UBSURD AND MOST IMPORTANTLY....UNAUTHORIZED!!!!!!
